Card Condition Guide
Singles are reviewed by visible wear and listed with the condition that best matches the actual card. When scans are available, the card shown is the card intended for sale. We use industry-style condition bands, but the actual front and back images matter most.
LP
Lightly Played
Minor whitening, light surface wear, or a few small imperfections visible on close inspection.
MP
Moderately Played
Noticeable edge wear, surface marks, small scratches, or light binder/play wear while still sleeve-playable.
HP
Heavily Played
Heavy whitening, scuffing, scratches, small dents, or stronger play wear, but still intact.
DMG
Damaged
Creases, bends, tears, water damage, ink, peeling, major dents, or other structural damage.
How We Decide Condition
A card can move down a condition band when one area has obvious wear, even if the rest of the card looks clean. Foils get extra attention because scratches and clouding can be easier to miss in a quick photo.
- Corners and edge whitening
- Front surface scratches
- Back surface wear
- Foil scratching or clouding
- Centering and print quality
- Bends, dents, warping, and creases
Usually Damaged
Some flaws are too severe for LP, MP, or HP. These usually land in Damaged even when the card is still playable in a sleeve.
- Water damage
- Ink or writing
- Peeling
- Tears
- Deep creases
- Major dents
Posting Standard
Actual scans, clear data, no hidden surprises
We want the listing page to answer the normal buyer questions before checkout: what condition is it, what exact printing is it, and is the price reasonable for that card.
- Front and back scans are used whenever we have card-level images.
- Listings call out condition, set name, card number, finish, rarity, and price when that data is available.
- Cards under the dollar-card floor are handled as bulk candidates instead of being forced into a $1.99 listing.
- If a scan and a reference image disagree, the actual card scan wins.
